Background

Allianz Insurance China Company Limited is one of the employers I used to be working for and being interested in. Allianz Insurance China Company Limited is a subsidiary of Allianz SE, one of the world's leading financial services providers headquartered in Munich, Germany. Allianz Insurance China operates as an insurance company in China, offering a wide range of insurance products and services to individuals, businesses, and corporate clients.

The broad mission of Allianz Insurance China is to be a leading provider of insurance solutions in the Chinese market. Its goals encompass several key aspects:

1. Customer-centric approach: The organization aims to prioritize customer satisfaction and meet the evolving needs of its diverse customer base in China. 

2. Innovation and technology: The organization emphasizes innovation and technology-driven solutions to enhance operational efficiency, improve customer experience, and stay ahead in the rapidly evolving insurance industry. 

3. Sustainability and social responsibility: The company is committed to conducting business in a sustainable and responsible manner. 

4. Talent development and employee engagement: Allianz Insurance China recognizes the importance of its employees and aims to foster a supportive and engaging work environment.

Keeping up with technological advancements and effectively leveraging them is crucial for Allianz Insurance China to remain competitive.

In Allianz Insurance China, Job characteristics have the biggest impact on organizational structure. In this organization, people in different roles have different job responsibilities. Employees are grouped into functional areas based on their expertise.

As an Insurance company, Allianz Insurance China aims to be a leading provider of insurance solutions in the Chinese market, functional structure allows employees in different department address the organization's internal and external environment. A common purpose brings employees together and enables them to grasp the organization's intended direction. For instance, Customer services department strives for provide excellent services to customer with the pre-sales and after-sales service. Sales department dedicated to developing business and increasing sales. Actuarial department focuses on developing high quality insurance products and avoiding risks through data analysis. Compliance and audit department deals with legal and regulatory issues to ensure company compliance with regulatory requirements. All of them commited to help the company to become a leading insurance provider in the market.

    In my opinion, the chosen structure and structural components in Allianz China Insurance Co., Ltd. align with the company's missions and objectives. The organization's structure reflects the company's goals, such as becoming the top provider of insurance solutions in the Chinese market. Different functions enable employees to concentrate on their specific areas of expertise, such as providing excellent customer service, developing new products, and ensuring legal compliance.

    In addition, the company is able to handle the internal and external environmental factors it encounters through its structure. The Customer Service department reflects a focus on prioritizing the customer and fulfilling their requirements. Simultaneously, the company places emphasis on innovation and technology, enabling them to attain a position of leadership within the insurance sector. However, in order to adjust to the evolving situations, the company might contemplate enhancing cooperation and unity between departments and establishing a work environment that is more adaptable.

    One option for the organization may consider increasing cross-functional collaboration and integration in order to establish a more flexible and cross-functional working environment. This can assist boost cross-departmental innovation and connectivity, resulting in more comprehensive client solutions.

    Also, the organization may assess how well it promotes employee cooperation and cohesion.
